Fraudulent calls, emails and sms alerts

The French Health Insurance (CPAM) warns insured persons against fraudulent phone calls, emails and text messages.  Phone solicitations, emails or text messages informing the insured that the Carte Vitale will soon expire, or that the reimbursement of health care expenses by the Assurance Maladie is pending, are identified hacking and scamming techniques.

Assurance Maladie reminds its commitment to never exchange any personal information (Social Security number, health status, reimbursement of expenses...) in order to protect the privacy of its insured persons, in compliance with the recommendations of the National Commission for Information Technology and Liberties (CNIL).

The Assurance Maladie strongly recommends reporting these illegal practices:

  • If it is a spam, it is advisable to use the site signal-spam.fr.
  • If it is an SMS, it can be reported via the 33700.fr website or by sending an SMS to 33 700.

To report an illicit content, it is recommended to report it on the official portal for reporting illicit content Internet-signalement.gouv.fr.

These services will block the sender of the message and our specialized team remains at your disposal for any questions you may have about the CPAM.
