The bill on the Residence of Foreigners in France was voted in first reading by the French National Assembly on July 23, 2015. The goal is, amongst others, to reduce the number of categories of French resident permits.
Yet, the Law Commission added eight new categories of resident permits, in order to transpose the European Directive n° 2014/66/EU of 15 May 2014 in the French national legal system .
The latter aims at facilitating multiple temporary intra-group transfer of workers within several member states of the European Union. Cf: our news on the subject: http://www.home-conseil.com/en/upcoming-important-changes-in-french-policies/
The bill was introduced into French National Assembly on 23 July, 2014 and will be examined by the Senate in the fall of 2015.
