BREXIT - The Platform for a Residence Permit Application is Online
As we previously published in our news, on October 9th, 2019, the French Ministry of Interior announced the creation of a simplified residence permit procedure for British Citizens and their families already residing in France.
After several delays, the dedicated platform for the procedure is now online and functional. Using it, one can obtain a residence permit bearing the words "UK withdrawal agreement from the EU."
This online service is intended only for British nationals and their family members (regardless of their own nationality) residing in France or coming to settle in France before December 31st, 2020.
British nationals intending to arrive in France after January 1st, 2021, will have to apply for their residence permits directly at the local prefectures and will not be able to use the platform.
